More Light Trail fun

A final few images for the playing with light phase. I would recommend giving this a go as it is fun but also very tricky to set up.

Playing with a taser is dangerous and should not be tried without adult supervision.!

Light Sabre fight.

Background lighting is set up correctly by adjustment of shutter speed and aperture. Though it is important to ensure that there is time to do the drawing so at least six seconds and preferably more dependent on the skills of the artist.

As both of us are in the picture it is easier to use the timer to allow time to get into position.

We found it easier to put the flash in after the drawing part. So switch your flash to 'second curtain' sync to make this happen.

So.. when the shutter opens start drawing with the torch that must be pointed towards the camera. Then remembering where your drawing is you just join in and pose in time for the final flash.

I would have liked to have allowed a bit more light into the background but this is already difficult enough.

I do wonder what people were thinking as they walked past. One lad asked about the torches but walked off scratching his head after my awful attempt at explaining it.

Fun and a most interesting exercise.
